PRIMARY PURPOSE AND FUNCTIONS:

Help develop winning consumer products by supporting development of products from benchtop through pilot scale.  The R&D Technician will support various scientists and managers with stability, analytical, and research projects. We’re looking for a professional with experience in data collection and interpretation as well as the storage and retrieval of samples in a laboratory environment

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:   

• Conduct sound research in the VMS spaces through planning and executing sound experiments developed with a scientist’s guidance
• Apply appropriate experimental designs under the guidance of scientists and make recommendations based on results
• Set up proper stability and sensory studies
• Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure product integrity and quality control, maintain lab to ensure safety and cleanliness
• Proper documentation for projects
• Maintain lab cleanliness in accordance with best practices
• Provide support for production run in Manufacturing sites
• Maintain accurate records of all development projects.
• Prepares technical documents relevant to area of responsibility

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

•  Bachelor degree in Food Science, Chemistry or related field
• 1-3 years  of related experience ideally in the Supplement, Pharmaceutical or Food industries operating under cGMP or ISO environments.
• Related lab experience required including excellent data and research analysis skills. 
• Familiarity with NOP requirements is a plus.
